An accident involving one vehicle reportedly injured two people in Greene County on Sept. 9. Police think alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Medics and law enforcement responded to the site around 11 p.m. after receiving word of a rollover accident. Authorities conducted a preliminary investigation and believe that the vehicle went off the right side and then the left side of the roadway before rolling.
The 20-year-old male driver and a 21-year-old male passenger were both trapped in the car after it crashed. Emergency medical personnel reportedly rescued the men by cutting off the roof of the vehicle. One man went to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, and the other went to the same hospital by ambulance. One day after the incident, both men were reported to be in stable condition. According to troopers, the driver may face charges for driving while under the influence.
Victims of car accidents may face expensive medical bills and require time off from work due to their injuries. Those who were injured due to the negligence of another driver may be able to recover expenses related to the wreck by filing a personal injury suit in civil court. Victims may want to consider consulting an attorney in order to ensure that fair compensation is received.
A driver might be liable for a collision when his or her actions caused another person's injuries. An attorney may use police reports, eyewitness accounts and other data to determine negligence on the part of an at-fault driver. He or she may also help present this information on behalf of a client in court.
