Ohio driver dead after accident involving bus, truck and 3 cars

An afternoon crash involving five automobiles on Nov. 6 resulted in several injuries and the death of one of the involved drivers. The victim, a 20-year-old man driving a Ford Fusion, was transported to the Aultman Hospital after the incident, and it was there that doctors pronounced him dead. Although it’s not expected that alcohol played a role in the traffic incident, Ohio police are still investigating the crash.

The accident occurred along Route 800, at the traffic light at Westbrook Street SW, when a commercial truck failed to slow down for a red light. In front of the truck were three vehicles and a school bus. The force of the crash slammed the three passenger vehicles into each other and the chain reaction even hit the bus, which was in front of the three other vehicles. The deceased victim was in the car that was first struck by the truck.

The driver of the commercial truck, a 61-year-old from Alliance, was driving a dump truck for a business out of Waynesburg at the time of the incident.
