Ohio marine dies from head-on crash injuries

Sources report that a marine whose car was struck head-on by a dump truck on Ohio 598 while he was returning to base from a 20-day medical leave died in the hospital on Oct. 1. The wreck occurred on Sept. 29 as the 23-year-old man was driving back to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

Ohio golf car accident leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

Police report that an accident involving a single golf car in Wayne County on the morning of Aug. 30 left the front-seat passenger, a 49-year-old man, dead at the scene of the accident. The driver and another passenger were taken to Wooster Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Ohio accident on U.S. 127 injures 3

Authorities report that a two-vehicle accident in Van Wert around 6:30 p.m. on July 31 left three people with various injuries. All three were transported by ambulance to Van Wert County Hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, it was determined that one of the injured parties had injuries severe enough to warrant air transport to Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The three vehicle occupants were all wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision, and alcohol was not likely a contributing factor.

2 injured, 1 killed in Ohio wreck

A 31-year-old was killed in a multi-car accident that occurred around 5:50 p.m. on July 11 in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71. The accident occurred near the exit for U.S. Highways 36 and 37 when a 28-year-old male drove from the left lane of the highway to the center lane and struck the back of the victim's car.
